Campmaster Corps

In the late-1990s the Camp Lowden Campmasters Corps was formed. The campmasters are a group of
Scouters who give their time to help out by operating Camp Lowden on the weekends so the Camp Ranger
can assume other responsibilities. Campmaster duties include checking units in and out of camp;
serving as a “friendly face” and central point of contact to act as camp liaison for units;
performing periodic site visits, etc. Ideally, each weekend should have a Campmaster. Campmasters must have a record of demonstrated ability to get along with people, to lead, and to act in an emergency. Campmasters must have a working knowledge of Scouting, troop operations, Scout advancement, and Webelos Scout camping. Basic Campmaster duties include:
