New Council Ring

New Flagpole

A new flagpole was purchased and installed and the arrowhead-shaped stone base was restored. The rededication ceremony was held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

History Book Now available!


The revised edition of the Camp Lowden history book—The Living Legends of Camp Lowden—now includes a patch guide, neckerchief guide, photos of all of the staff paddles, an update on the return of the 1977 paddle (which was missing for more than 30 years!), an updated staff directory, more “people profiles” (and the 15 existing profiles were expanded), more stories, more memories, and more than twice as many photos as the 2006 edition. And at 288 pages, it is more than 100 pages larger than the 2006 edition!

Camp Lowden 70th Anniversary Celebration


On what turned out to be a picture-perfect day for weather, Camp Lowden held its 70th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, September 4, 2010. More than 100 current and former staff members, as well as families and friends of Camp Lowden, attended. This was the largest-ever gathering, surpassing the previous record from the 2005 reunion.
